The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre is a non-profit adult literacy organization in the community here. We offer free reading, writing, math and learning programs for adults in Edmonton. The latest literacy study by Statistics Canada shows that millions of Canadians do not have the literacy skills they need to keep pace with the escalating demands of our society and economy. In Alberta about 40% of adults struggle with reading and writing. We engage people in community based literacy development that enable them to make positive changes for themselves and others.
