The RainWise Rebate Program helps Edmontonians protect their homes from flooding and reduce flood risks in the community by managing stormwater effectively. Residential customers can get up to $2,000 for completing stormwater management projects.  

Eligible Projects

Rebate applications are now being accepted for a variety of projects that help manage stormwater: 

• Rain gardens: Sunken planted areas that capture and filter stormwater with special soil and plants. 
• Downspout disconnections: Redirecting stormwater to gardens or lawns instead of sewers. 
• Rain barrels/Storage tanks: Collecting stormwater for reuse. 
• Box planters: Contained gardens that filter stormwater, suitable for small spaces. 
• Soakaway pits: Underground chambers that allow stormwater to soak into the ground. 
• Permeable pavement: Driveways, patios, or paths that allow stormwater to soak into the ground.
